Q&A – for leavers who have not yet taken their pensionThis section of the website is here to answer specific questions, asked by members who have left Nortel Networks but have not yet retired or requested to draw their pension. Can I take my pension early? It is still possible to take your pension after you reach age 50. There will, however, be a reduction for early payment if your pension comes into payment before you are 60 and these reductions now have to be in accordance with PPF levels of benefits. For more information on the PPF visit the Frequently Asked Questions part of this site. I left the Company a long time ago. How do I find out if I have got a Nortel pension? If you are entitled to a pension, we will have a record. Please contact Towers Watson giving as much information as possible about yourself and when you were a member. This should include your full name, your date of birth, National Insurance number, the company and location you worked for and when you left. If you are not sure that your pension is from a Nortel Plan and we do not hold a record for you, you can contact the Pension Schemes Registry at: The Pension Schemes Registry |
