You can use this Bulletin Board to send us details of events, websites etc which you would like other members to be aware of. To have something special posted on the Bulletin Board please email it to Nortel.Networks@eu.watsonwyatt.com with 'Article for website Bulletin Board' as the subject heading. Bits & Bytes: ICL Pensioners Newsletter Many Nortel Pensioners who worked for ICL and its predecessors are unaware of the ICL Pensioners’ Newsletter "Bits & Bytes". This is produced twice a year, April and October, and gives news of the present company (Fujitsu Services), nostalgic stories from the past and details of reunions. There are currently about 450 Nortel pensioners, who have provided me with their address, who receive each edition. This was in response to an item in the winter edition 1995 of "Diary" inviting pensioners to contact me. Since that date the company has agreed to provide any ex ICL pensioners in the Nortel Fund with "Bits & Bytes" for free. All you need to do is to send your name and address to adrian.turner5@tiscali.co.uk or via a letter to 5, Nun’s Acre, Goring-on-Thames, RG8 9BE. Customer Engineering Services If any former Employees of Data 100, Customer Engineering Services, are reading this message, then please make your contact information known to : wes2001@optusnet.com.au. The company was taken over by Nortel in the mid seventies and thereafter sold on to International Computers Ltd. All of these computer companies are no longer in business. But I trust that the former Customer Service Engineers will remember Bill Stamford, myself who emigrated to Australia in 1979. I trust that one person may recall the past company, although it’s a long shot, its worth the enquiry. |
